Advising employer and employee clients on the full range of employment law issues including day to day HR issues, work place disputes, executive departures, disciplinary matters, absence management, redundancies, business reorganisation and TUPE issues. Drafting and advising on service agreements, contracts and policies. Training and mentoring HR professionals. Working closely with in-house counsel, HR, managers, directors and business owners to resolve issues, deliver projects and effect change.

What do you focus on for your clients

I advise on all aspects of employment law, giving business focussed legal advice using my skills and varied in-house experience. I advise on day-to-day employment matters; disciplinary and grievances; contentious matters including Tribunal claims; working time issues; discrimination in the workplace, maternity rights and TUPE. I advise on terminations and negotiate exit arrangements for senior executives and draft and advise on contracts for all types of workers including post termination restrictions and on settlement agreements.

Tell us about your professional background

I trained at Linklaters before moving to media firm, Harbottle and Lewis. I then moved in-house and set up the employment practice at Virgin Atlantic Airways before joining the M&S employment team. I then took an international role at Paramount Pictures. My experience working in-house has given me an invaluable insight into how businesses work and how to be an effective adviser.

Tell us a bit about your working style and other interests 

I am driven, motivated and sharp with a relaxed working style and excellent communication skills and judgement. I enjoy sports and have been training for my second sprint triathlon. I am a school governor, enjoy spending time with my kids, walking with our dog on Hampstead Heath and going to the theatre.
