Tell us about your professional background
I trained at Squire Patton Boggs before becoming an associate at DLA Piper. I then moved in-house to Mitel, as its sole UK counsel. I then spent 16 years at Atos, the French IT outsourcing group, where I had a variety of roles including UK Director of Legal Services; General Counsel Consulting & Systems Integration and Deputy Group General Counsel, M&A and Strategic Alliances. I was a member of the Atos legal leadership team giving guidance and direction to more than 50 legal professionals worldwide. I completed 40+ M&A transactions for Atos, including several global transformational deals with Schlumberger, Siemens and Xerox.
Tell us a bit about your working style and other interests
I am ‘a doer’ not just ‘a talker’ with experience of handling a variety of corporate and commercial matters in a collegiate, efficient and cost-effective manner. What I find important is getting the deal done in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
I worked with David on a number of projects, very often under immense time pressure, and am very grateful for the excellent cooperation. I am sure we would not have been as successful without his pragmatic and competent contributions.
